Hywel Dda Health Charities will be distributing self care goodie bags to expectant mums attending Baby in Mind groups in Pembrokeshire for women who feel anxious about pregnancy.
Baby in Mind is a five week interactive group that looks at ways to manage pregnancy related anxiety. The group aims to help expectant mums to deal with any mixed feelings and anxieties, by providing expectant mums with ideas to support them in mothering and developing a bond with their baby. The group also aims to help expectant mums to make space for their baby in their mind in order to feel prepared for this new relationship.
Local Pembrokeshire companies who donated items include
Stena Line UK and
Sian Dallimore, Clinical Psychologist said,
“Thank you for your generosity in donating the items for the ladies attending our therapy group. The bags will help our clients to spend a little time taking care of themselves in order to feel less anxious and improve their mood. We hope that this will make the transition into motherhood a more enjoyable experience for both mother and baby.”
