Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services – Latest.
Although there are currently over 400 opportunities available in Pembrokeshire our ‘Pick of the fortnight’ is a role available in Tenby with the National Trust. This is quite a unique role in Pembrokeshire, particularly for anyone with an interest in local history .
National Trust Wales – Tudor Merchants House Stewards
The Tudor Merchant’s House is a vibrant part of Tenby past and present. It is set in 1500 and the team of staff and volunteers work to ‘set the scene’. Volunteers are an integral part of the team and have such a wealth of knowledge and a wide variety of skills. The main role is to welcome people into the house and talk about what life was like 500 years ago – don’t worry you don’t need to know everything about the Tudors just be keen to gain some main points. There are a variety of opportunities available. It is possible to volunteer for a couple of hours a week, more hours if you would like, or just to come in during the school holidays.
